What Is Energy Vampire?…And How Not to Be One

“Energy vampire” are really just people who don’t have enough of their own energy or lost their connection with the source energy. So when you come in contact or proximity with them, you often feel drained.

Well, they are untentionally taking your energy from you and whomever is nearby because they don’t have enough of their own. They are vibrating at such a low state of energy depletion that their system needs to constantly BORROW energy anywhere possible. And because empathic individuals are not as skilled at keeping personal boundaries, our energy leaks. It’s the easiest to take.

It crazy right?

Okay, so we can’t really do much for those people except send them blessings that they will find whatever is needed to help them feel complete and happy.

The most powerful thing we can do is refocus our awareness.

Ask yourself: “How can I increase my vibration?”

According to Caroline Myss, an amazing knowledgible person who specializes in energy work, says that we can work to heal our wounds. The wounds that have caused the holes in our energy systems causing the energy leakages. I highly recommend watching her videos, “The Energetics of Healing (1988).” Very enlightening and extremely helpful for energy sensors to understand where their energy might be leaking. From which chakras and where in their history to go back to to heal the leak(s).

I love the anology she used to clarify our energy leakage. She explains that everyone of us wakes up with a maximum deposit of $100 dollars worth of energy. And it’s up to us how we want to use it. She calls it “energy investing”. The secret is to invest our $100 into places that will yield back an interest just like a well investment in our finances “ROI” return on investment. In our case, it’s “ROE” return on energy. This is the rule of the game. We have to choose wisely where to invest our precise limited energy. Because it’ll be stupid of us to throw our money away, spend it on something that will cause us debts.

It’s interesting how she explains if we continue to have energy leakages then we’ll end up borrowing from our cell tissue in our body! Which over time can cause us health issues. For example, have you ever seen someone age a few years overnight? Because their system was so overstressed, they unknowingly had to tap into their body tissues and borrow energy from there causing them to age at a rapid rate.

What do I do to repair the holes and stop the energy leakage?

Caroline Myss covers it more in depth in her videos what specific questions to ask yourself in each of the chakras to find out where you are leaking your precious life source energy.

Let’s go over the third chakra because I feel it pertains to those of us who are more empathic the most. This is the chakra that holds our personal power. How you fell about your self: your self-esteem, self-respect, and your integrity. It’s also the place of your personal boundary.

You may have energy leakage here if you seek approvals from others. Or you say you were going to do something and then break your promise with yourself. Dishonoring your promise such as “I’m going to workout tomorrow and then don’t” this will cause distrust in yourself. Integrity is so important because you need to know you can count on yourself. Your body needs to know it can depend on you. Without integrity with yourself, more than likely you ability to function in this physical world is is not as stable as it could be. So start with rebuilding your integrity if that is off.

It’ll bring back your confidence and trust within yourself. This will help you strengthen your energy and your personal boundary. With a stronger boundary, you are vibrating at a higher positive vibration. You won’t have the need to lean on another for their approval. And your energy won’t be leaking to another for their approval. Your emotions will not be solely dependent on their response. You ‘ll have the power to say, “You know what, I don’t want to invest any of my $100 dollars of energy into that opinion, thought, or energy. ”

Watch your thoughts and anytime you catch one of these energy leakage, call it back.  This practice will help you keep your energy and maintain your boundary and calm.

They simply do their healthy eating, exercising, meditating, cleansing their energy, and cleaning their mind, tossing out any unhelpful fixed ideas or beliefs that are be hindering their progress to go where they want they go. Then putting more positive thoughts, feelings, images and goals they want into their mind. They keep their focus on the positive things that energizes them. They use their AWARENESS to do more of these helpful actions that in cycles feeds them

Similar to cleaning out your closet or house. Keep only what you want and toss out all the junks that’s taking up room. This simple action will free up space to keep and put more of what you only want.

No matter how simple or mundane these daily routines are, the CONSISTENCY of doing it everyday (as needed) keeps you clean and at a high vibration state where things that normally ticks you off won’t do so. You’ll keep your cool and awareness. And you’ll be attracting more helpful energy your way. Giving you more fuel to create more of what you want.

Top 3 Secrets to Keeping Your Energy and Not Being Completely Drained – Euro Trip Lessons from Other Energy Aware Beings

Why is it that some people tend to attract great energy while others don’t do so well?

I’m able to answer that question better thanks to my experience touring Europe the past month. I got to tour France, England and Spain throughout for most of June. This trip was an eye opener for me.  It has given me many new perspectives. There is so much wealth out there: from material things to richness of energy.crystal

I was fortunate enough to meet some great individuals who were able to maintain their energy and share their secrets. Although they didn’t identify themselves as empaths, the characteristics they exhibited seemed to indicate they were (sensitive to food and environment, sensing others energies, and drained by others if they didn’t take care).

Here are some of their secrets…

Stacy in England was able to maintain her energy and stay grounded by first starting all her days religiously doing yoga. That helped her ground her energy, emotion, and mind in her body. Besides this crucial step for her, she also kept artwork, stones, and tools that constantly cleans her home. As I walked around her beautiful house, located in a small little sweet town, I noticed she kept buddha statues, paintings that seem to emit a blessing energy, and stones and pendants to continuously cleans her place.

Of course, she also practices healthy eating habits so that helps a lot. And her two adorable little dogs were a nice addition to helping keep the place light and happy. Honestly if all of us empathic individuals can live like Stacy, adopting her devoted habits of taking care of herself, we can definitely stay more grounded and energized throughout our days.

Then we met Emelda from Spain and Daniel from London at  Ashram center in Glastonbury, England. We explained how it was a challenge for us to constantly absorb others unwanted energies and emotions. Both of them shared they also lived in places that are also psychically heavy. They believed that since they were able to learn how to sustain their energy in such a places, they could pretty much function almost anywhere. When asked what they practice to keep their energy at such a high vibration, they shared that both practice Qi-Gong and Reiki and it has made all the difference for them.

We were curious how they had so much energy even though both did energy work for a living? Both of them explained that they don’t use their own energy. They tap into the divine source and the energy flows from there to not only energizes them but also their clients.

Amazing! Right?

Daniel went further to explain that he also uses crystal. And his place is completely filled with them and they help him stay energized.

So I asked him, if someone like him didn’t know anything and is constantly being drained by others energy and their environment, what would his one tip for them?

Daniel responded with a smile, “Reiki….and Qi-Gong. Those are my absolute two favorite and must do it.”

There you have it. The answers from three very knowledgible energy aware individuals who are able to stay in charge, energized, grounded, and connected to abundant source energy. This has made all the difference on which way their day goes.

How to GET MORE ENERGY By RELAXING Your Body

As we discussed earlier in our post “How to Eliminate Negative Emotion and Create Positive Emotion“, changing our physiology is vital to creating positive emotions. This week I want to challenge you just that…

Practice “relaxing your body” throughout the day – especially before sleeping. This will greatly energize us since we are no longer using those energy to tighten our body.

For example, hold out your hand and squeeze your fist. Keep it tight. Notice how much energy and effort it takes to keep that fist tight. It is essentially the same thing happening when we tighten our body. Most of our energy is being used up when our body is tensed.

Let your tight fist relax now. Notice how much more energy you have now.

So by relaxing our body, we can free up those energies and have much more awareness.

I’m proposing that we put the next 3 days to test. Be aware of how our body is. Is it tight and tense or relaxed? Scan your body from head to toe. Put your awareness on your forehead, then scan your jaws, your neck, your chest, your arms, your stomach, your back, your legs and your feet. Relax any part of the body that is tense.

Whenever you spot an area that is tight, simply relax the muscle of that area. Use your breath to help you relax. Go ahead, take a deep breath… yes, breathe deep all the way from your belly.

Becoming aware of our body we can better understand and take care of ourself. With this ability we can better ground ourself in the state of presence. You’ll have more life energy passing through you to do other wonderful things you want in life.

I’m gonna let you in a little secret… I’ve already tested it for a day. I must say, I didn’t realize how much I tense my body throughout the day. When I woke up this morning after practicing relaxing my body yesterday and while I slept, I feel less tense and more relaxed. I have more energy flowing through me. I even feel like I’ve lost some weight this morning when I woke up.

How to Eliminate Negative Emotion and Create Positive Emotion

rainbow-field1These three simple steps are the hidden SECRET to master your emotions. How to stop suffering and self-sabotaging yourself with negativity. You can start creating the life you want, no matter where you are now. You still have power in yourself to make the changes you want. Its not your fault because we were never taught how to control emotions. Most of those around us don’t know how to control theirs either.

I have never came across somebody who has put it so perfectly. As I was listening to Dr.Wyatt Woodsmall and Eben Pagan’s training program, “Leadership: You, Me & We”, Dr. Woodsmall put it so eloquently. Negative emotion drains energy. Positive emotion gives energy. In order to get rid of negative emotions, you first must know where it is coming from. As Wyatt explains it, negative and positive emotions both came from the same place. It’s up to us to CHOOSE how we want to be.

By practicing these steps below, you and I can get there…

Here are the 3 Steps to Eliminating Negative Emotion and Creating Positive Emotion:

Step 1: Change the pictures we create in our head. It is apparent we must diligently keep guard at the gates of our mind to only let the things we want in. Perception plays a huge role in what kinds of emotion we’ll experience. It triggers our body to tense up or to relax and act accordingly to the images we perceived and create in our minds.

Watch your mind throughout the day. What kind of images are you catching yourself making? Are they scary images, fear images, images of scarcity and lack?

Want to end these negative emotions?

How? The answer is… stop creating the pictures that feed negative emotion.

And if you want to be happy, create and focus on happy pictures. Flood your mind with images of what you want to create positive emotion. Control the pictures you create. Know you have a choice to choose the pictures you put in your head and focus on.

Step 2: Change your tonality. The way you speak to yourself. If you speak to yourself in a angry tone, then you’ll feel angry. If you speak to yourself in a victim tone, they you’ll feel defeated and sorry for yourself. And if you want to feel happy, then simply shift your voice…speak to yourself positively by changing the tonality of your voice.

Step 3: Change your physiology. Shift your physiology by adjusting your posture, movement, and breathing. How you hold yourself together will greatly affect your state of being.  It can either disempower you or energize you.

For example, right now…sit up straight, relax your body, roll back your shoulders and open your chest, and hold your head high. How do you feel? Can you feel your emotional state change simply just by adjusting your physiology?

Becoming aware that both our negative and positive emotion originates from our pictures, our tonality, and our physiology is the start to changing our feeling. By changing these, you can shift your outcome… Eliminating the negative emotions that no longer serve you and start creating positive ones that better serve you in your journey forward.

Once you can start to control your emotions…And become in charge again and no longer a victim to it. You’ll be able to move throughout the range of emotion and have choice and flexibility to select the emotion you wish to feel  as you increase your emotional intelligence. No longer will you be stuck in a chronic state. Emotion is a choice. You are now free at last to make your choice!

Dr. Hew Len’s Ho’oponopono Training: Don’t Blame. Take 100% Responsibility. Clean It Up.

BurstIf you see something you don’t agree with, instead of criticizing, condemning, or complaining – ask yourself this, “What is it in me that is CAUSING me to feel this way?”

And pause for a minute.

Simply clean how it is making YOU FEEL. Not how wrong the situation was or how that other person fell short.

During Dr. Hew Len’s Ho’oponopono training he teaches us to take 100% responsibility and clean how it’s making you feel. CLEAN THE MEMORY ON HOW THAT EVENT IS AFFECTING YOU. And clean THAT!

If you spot it, then clean it up. If you have that yucky feeling – even better. It means there is a healing opportunity there. Don’t blame. Don’t brush it off. Instead take 100% responsibility for the situations and clean the emotions attached to the incident. Feel your feelings and transform it. Let those emotions dissolve and transmute into light.

All you have to do is TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.

Because if you start thinking you need to do it for others – thinking cleaning the emotions for them would help them – you’ll be in for a big surprise. Not a very good one I may add. (I’ve been there…and trust me, it wears you out.  You are opening doors that should be left alone.)

Not until I re-listened to Dr. Hew Len’s audio again did I understand why I should not be cleaning how OTHERS’ are feeling. But instead I should ONLY FOCUS ON ME – cleaning only what I feel. Dr. Hew Len mentioned, if you try to clean the other person, you are essentially  trying to process EVERYTHING connected to that person. That’s a butt-load of memories. You are cleaning all things connected to that person’s past and present occurrences. Anything from their family history as well.

Can you believe it?

You are trying to clean for them, their mother’s, father’s, grandparents’, great grandparents, ancestors, and all those connected to them. You are trying to clean up ALL this person’s blood line of stuff.

That’s why Dr. Hew Len teaches his students to only to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF. Just focus on cleaning your stuff. This will raise your  vibration. You’ll have a cleaner vessel. That will in return raise the vibrations of those nearest to you and clean up those dirty stagnant energy near you. At least, you’re cleaning the space around you (where ever you go).

When you do this you make room for inspiration to come in. The contagious “feel good clean energy” may inspire those connected to you to take actions to raise their own vibration.

I’ve seen it happen right in front of my eyes over and over again. It’s amazing!

People are attracted to clean, high vibration, and feel good energy. It’s very contagious.

So remember, start with cleaning and taking care of yourself first. Let the good feeling overflow abundantly from you.

The Price Empaths Pay When We Blame Others (and What To Do About It)

You know what’s tough about being an empath? We tend to feel others’ emotions and physical pains intensely. So much so that if we weren’t fully aware of our own state we’d likely confuse their pain and feelings as our own.

As much as we like to BLAME others for making us feel this way or that way… We just can’t afford to do so.

Why?

Well, if we lower ourselves to “why me” we start feeling weak. We start viewing ourselves as the VICTIM of others emotions – powerless to do anything. Then we risk lowering our vibrations. Which could mean a lot of things…

When we see ourselves as a victim. We get depressed. We don’t want to do anything anymore. Things just seem to look dark and gloomy for us.

Trust me… we can not afford to let our awareness down. That just makes cracks for more dirtier vibrations to come in and feed on our misery.

Ever heard of that saying, “Misery loves company.”

Well, it’s true.

When we’re down in this lower self – feeling defeated and blaming the world for all our troubles –  we pick up MORE negative thoughts, impulses, unwanted emotions and pain. We attract MORE of that similar lower vibration! We are doing ourselves a huge disservice.

What can we do about it?

The first step is acceptance. As empaths, it’s crucial we learn this one phrase: “It is what it is.” And learn to accept it is what it is. Afterwards, look for solutions – little things here and there – we know we can change to help us grow, learn, and THRIVE.

Here are 3 solutions you can use – after accepting what is – to stay in higher vibration:

  • Eating Healthy. Clean your body. Take care of it.  Put only premium fuel (food) in it.  This is one of the most crucial part of the puzzle. More importantly it’s one of the things we have total control over. You are in complete control of what you put into your body. We can always choose Healthy Foods to Eat.
  • Letting Go of Emotions. Clean emotional junk you’ve been holding onto. Take a look  at the emotions that are surfacing. Is there more to it? Do you need to feel your feelings and let that go?

  • Breathing. Breathe. You’ll be surprise how many of us are shallow breathing (me included). We can retrain our body to breathe deeply – like back when we were babies – from the diaphragm. This one thing can help us relax and let go of tension we hold in our body. This reduces so much unnecessary stress on our entire system.

Empaths and Highly Sensitive People (HSP) often find themself in stressful situations due to their highly sensitive system. Not catching early on their sensitivity often wrecks havoc for them making it challenging for them to cope with stress.

If not realized and handled earlier with a stress coping skills. They may find themselves in involved in addictive harmful habits. Watching to much tv, drinking excessively, gambling uncontrollably, involve in drug abuse, and binge eating. Many obsessive behaviors and types of addiction may developed for highly sensitive people in an attempt to relief stress and pressure from the ever demanding world.

What’s mine? What’s yours?

Differentiating others “stuff” from your stuff.

Whether it be in a house with our family, in an apartment surrounded by our neighbors, or at work with our co-workers. Trying to differentiate where energy or sensations is coming from can be tough. All our energies are smushed together like a bowl of soup.

Especially when it comes to others feeling bad, negative energies, unwanted emotions, sadness, anxiety, physical pain or ailment of some sort, and even confusing rambling thoughts in someone else’s head.

Yes, as an empath we tend to pick up these things more easily than others.  Heck, some of us who are empaths…and don’t know are empaths, tend to take it all in as it is OURS. And ours alone. That could be overwhelming.

So just how do we tell what is ours and what is others?

Even with handy techniques in our hands, there’s still times when we get so immersed in the energy that it’s fuzzy to pick out where everything is coming from.

There’s hope… this one technique has saved me on countless times!

When the direction or source of that “UNWANTED” energy can’t be detected anymore, it’s wise to step out for a second. Simply get up and take a nice walk to sever the energy ties between you.
